Re: Satellite TV in RV

The satellites are in 2 orbits. I get a signal on the western arc almost everywhere we go. We needed to switch to the eastern arc in western North Dakota and western Kansas (go figger LOL). The only issue was that the local stations out of Denver broadcast on the western arc, so if you're on the eas...

Re: Satellite TV in RV

We've had DISH for a while. I got the Winegard Pathway X2 antenna because it has a bigger dish than the Tailgater. Make sure whichever antenna you get will receive both the eastern and western arcs. I got the Wally receiver. I also ran a separate cable tap for the DISH receiver, not going through th...

Re: New to the Forum (Sorta)

My 96 Sahara will be available in the spring. PM me for details. Currently in Mass, but I usually make my first camping trip down your way.

Re: Four Horns

According to my brochure the air horns (we have 2) came as part of the "Sultan Package". I really like having them when in the right lane and there's someone who does not know how to merge onto a highway. The Sultan speaks.

ISO a back cap

Ok loyal Safrians, I need some help... Pulling out of the campground, I hooked the back corner of the coach on an electrical pole guy wire. It ripped the back corner away from the coach about 2 feet, splitting the back cap across half of the mural. The campground manager took pity on me and helped m...

Re: Time to sell

Sounds like air in the fuel line. Next time it's warm, try pumping the primer pump on the fuel filter housing. It should be hard to push. If it's easy, keep pumping until it gets hard.

Re: Flat screen Rv in overhead any tips

I took out the recliner and lamp table and put a 32 inch LED TV in a lift cabinet behind the pax seat. I used the wood from the lamp table to rebuild the corner cabinet where the head-banger TV was.

Re: Tire Size Mismatch - Is it dangerous?

Thanks for the reply Mr. Wolfe. I am going from memory on the metric size, but I did get in from the chassis manual. The docs are all in the coach at the airport. I'll grab them Monday and check.

What are you running on your Alpine?

BTW, it was exactly 6 years ago we were at HoHum.

Tire Size Mismatch - Is it dangerous?

New tire time coming up and I have a dilemma. When I bought the coach it had 9R22.5s all around. I couldn't find any 9Rs that weren't Chinese locally so I went with the alternate 25570R22.5s as specified in the chassis manual. I want to go back to the 9Rs (a few manufacturers are offering them now),...

Re: Shift Pad Buttons

I wanted to update you on the shift pad issue. I sent it off to Transmission Instruments in TX and they turned it around in a week. $395 and it looks and works like new. Highly recommended. And another tip 'o the hat to Brett for his excellent advise as usual.
