Re: 1998 class C

Can t be reskined? Sure.

But, on that age unit not feasible.

Degradation is usually caused by corrosion.

No, sorry, I have not kept up with Gary in the last couple of years.

I would check with Tiffin for contact information, as I believe that is the last RV chassis he designed.

Re: Ride height?

Wolfe I don't know if you remember or not that I have been trying to find the info. on this configuration since I posted on Beaver club in 2016. You made suggestions on Roadmaster and Source Engineering in Oregon. Those where all question marks or come by and we will have a look. This combo was onl...

Re: Ride height?

Best to get the actual specs rather than guessing. Wish I could help.

And, depending on suspension (not axle) design, 1" off on the front axle could significantly effect CASTER.

Have you checked for Beaver-specific sites?

Re: Ride height?

"Reyco advertises on the 1200 Steermaster straight axle ride height to be 9.50 to 15.75." I suspect that is range of travel from compressed to extended. Actual ride height spec will be a finite number-- likely somewhere around half way between fully compressed and fully extended. Sorry, ha...

Re: Ride height?

You don't mention what suspension your Beaver has.

But, very unlikely that ride height specs for an air suspension chassis will be the same as one on the Torsilastic suspension.

Be sure you are getting specs for YOUR suspension.

Re: Turbo inlet air tube

Cooler is better.

So, yes wrapped would likely give a very slight improvement in power and MPG-- very slight.

Big downside is that the wrap would also hold any water that splashed up and materially speed rusting of the tube.

I would not do it.

Re: Preignition dash light not coming on

Have you checked for power at the intake manifold heater solenoid (top of engine) when the key is turned to the first position?

BTW, you will have the Allison 3060, not 4060 with the Caterpillar 3126.

Re: Where is it?

Workhorse, thanks. Workhorse P or W chassis? Once we know that, hopefully, someone with the same chassis will see this and be able to assist. Another option is to look under the "hood" in front of the driver's side. Usually easy to find, as the brake pedal activates it (sometimes through ...

Re: Where is it?

Where is the brake fluid reservoir for my 2008 Safari Simba please? And what color is Blake fluid? Thanks! New brake fluid is clear. As it ages/absorbs moisture, it turns tan and eventually almost black. What chassis are you on?? THAT will determine where your master cylinder/reservoir are located....
