Re: 95 Serengeti - Have Running Lights but no High/Low Headlights
I was asking AstrOverlander if HE had relays in HIS coach. I know how the relays work and I did install relays for the hi / lo beams on my Serengeti. You missed two important components on your parts list: SELF-RESETTING breakers, much better instead of fuses. But I mentioned for AstroOverladnder to...

Re: Overflow tank for 1996
Check those rad caps, don't always blame the expansion/surge tank. Faulty rad caps can cause tank problems.

Re: Shark bite fittings
They are certainly not "poison" - I have used them on copper, plastic, tubing etc since their release on the market. I have never had one fail. Never. I follow the instructions, and if installed properly, they work fine and do not leak. PROPER installation is a must. But so is soldering, c...

Re: Radiator/coolant hoses?
When I needed hoses for the 96 Serengeti Cat engine, I took the hoses to NAPA and they were able to look-match them. One hat to cut a few inches off each end but for the most part, they were a good match.

Steering Wheel Groan
I searched but could not find a similar problem. Looking for possilble causes of the following things: When turning the steering wheel, I hear a kind of moany groan from the steering column. Either direction. Not sure when it was last greased. When applying the brakes, sometimes, but not all the tim...

Re: 95 Serengeti - Have Running Lights but no High/Low Headlights
Has anybody asked if he even has headlight relays? If it doesn't that Ford headlight switch gets mighty hot. With no relays and self-resetting breakers, about the only thing would be a fuse. Need a voltmeter and check voltages at a couple of places: At the headlight switch, and coming off the high -...

Re: Shark bite fittings
I've used them extensively for home and RV applications and never had a problem, even though you hear 'dire warnings' from licensed plumbers (who also, by the way charge S100 an hour or more) that "they will leak" or "explode" or maybe cause the Earth to shift off its axis.
