Re: Wheel Simulator and lug

I have a 1999 Safari Sahara and had to replace my jam nuts and caps twice. This was caused when I replaced tires and the shop used their pneumatic wrench to tighten the nuts and stripped the threads. I don't know if yours are the same but here is the info on mine which I got online. Mine were on the...

Re: Ev 6110 control board.

I have had very good luck getting parts for my gen set from Flightsystems.com. They also had a very good trouble shooting manual and did provide some advice on the phone. Also check out their Slick stick for cleaning the rotors.

Re: 2000 Zanzibar no start,

I had a similar problem on my 1999 Safari Sahara and it turned out to be a bad connection to ground from the Battery. Your problems sounds like a loss of voltage between the battery and starter. I would suggest that you clean all connections in the path.

Re: Flat screen Rv in overhead any tips

I have a 1999 Safari Sahara and we had the CRT TV in the cabinet above the Driver area. I removed it and obtained a strong TV Mount extension that I mounted to the left hand side wall and mounted the TV to it. I put in a larger TV that is suspended just in front of the cabinet. I can rotate it out t...

On my 1999 Sahara, it is hanging loose, under the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

Re: Overflow tank for 1996

I would highly recommend not using the plastic expansion tank. I replaced 3 and the third on cracked while I was climbing a narrow mountain road in Idaho. I could not stop or pull over and had to climb to the top, seriously overheating. I was able to add water there and made it into a campground whe...

Re: No 110V sconces, TV or kitchen fluorescent

I had a similar problem in my 1999 Safari Sahara and I tracked it down to a bad connection in the bottom of my inverter causing the loss of one side of the output from the campground power. A loose wire nut had created a poor connection which over heated and lost connection.

Re: Motor Mounts

Thanks, I will follow up on that. It looks like I will have to remove it first and do a measuring/matching.

Motor Mounts

I am getting a vibration noise when accelerating. It has been determined that is caused by worn motor mounts which result in the engine mount touching the frame as the engine torques over during acceleration. My question is, does anyone know what the part numbers are for the rear motor mounts on a 1...

Re: New user/member

I have had similar problems in the past and my first was caused by a split vacuum line going to the butterfly valves controlling the flow of the air and letting in hot outside air. The most current was caused by leaking of the valve that shuts off the water flow from the engine that is used for the ...
