Re: how do YOU pick an RV park???
'I agree, the rvparkreviews web site is invaluable. Travelers write their own reviews and rate the campground. Once you sign up as a member (free) you can write your own reviews. I have found their observations much more accurate than the campground guides. Once I have picked some potential parks, I...

'After reading all the posts it appears that Koni shocks are my best option but I am confused as to what models to use. When I cross reference from my Bilsteins on the Koni site they give me Front 8805-1012 and rear 8801458sp2. I am confused, should I use the shocks listed in the cross reference or ...

Quality of ride
'I have been looking at ways to improve ride and handling on my 2002 Safari Zanzibar with "velvet ride". Based on other posts in the group I looked at air bags, but traveling to Oregon would cost me $1,800 in fuel on top of the $4,500 for the system. When I spoke to their tech support they...

Weldex back view monitor
'We have a 2002 Safari Zanzibar 3896. The back view monitor (a Weldex )with 5.5 inch B/W screen failed during our last trip. The green ready light is on, but no picture. We noticed a smell of burning electronics, so we shut it down. I removed the camera and found that some components had failed, ove...

'When we purchased our 2002 Safari Zanzibar 3896 one of the issues was the component on the door which allowed it to be propped open had failed. Apparently the previous owner had consistently failed to follow the instructions on releasing the lock, and the mechanism was damaged beyond repair. Does a...

'I have 2002 3896 Safari Zanzibar with two slides, living and bedroom. I noticed that the living room slide, when closed seems to be tilted. the gap in the top between the slide opening and the slide starts at about 1/4" and slopes to nearly 1 " at the other end. Anyone experienced similar...

'We had paint bubbles on our 2002 Safari Zanzibar over the bedroom slide. Turns out that water had leaked between the aluminum skin and the foam backing. We repaired the visible bubbles, but learned a valuable lesson. Unless you get every bit of the electrolysis it will return. Second time around we...
