Re: Painting and paint codes
The paint of that era was custom mixed by a company local to the Safari factory. Paint codes would only help if you went to that business, as they were not standard nationwide. Locate a removable panel (such as your hot water heater or refrigerator cover that has the color you need on it. Take it to...

Re: Pacbrake issues
I have a front entry, and no front hood opening. Tank is not there that I can tell. Very little room with all the dash A/C stuff crammed in the limited space and the Kwikee steps on the passenger side forward of the front wheel.

Re: Pacbrake issues
Thanks, Don. My air horns operate from the same pump. Where is the tank located on your '95 Sahara? I believe you also have the Magnum chassis, only a different engine. Mine is a CAT. The pump would probably run until it destroyed the motor without building up pressure. I seldom use either the pacbr...

Re: Pacbrake issues
My '98 Sahara's Pacbrake compressor seems to run forever, but can't hear it when engine is running, and may be running full time as long as ignition key is on. Is the problem an open air line, so there is no pressure, or a relay issue (if I unplug the power to the relay it quits running) or a faulty...

Tail Pipe, 1998 Sahara 3006, Cat 3126B
Wondering if anyone has found a replacement for the original tail pipe since the group moved from Yahoo to this format? I have read the discussions from years back when no one found it, and the solution seemed to be getting one custom built. Most automotive muffler shops don't have ability to custom...

Re: Chassis AC running new lines
Robert,
When was the A/C last serviced (charged), and had there been previous leakdowns of the freon noticed? Was a dye added at the last charge?
How often have you used the A/C since last charged? Possibly you leak is at the compressor and from the seals that have been drying out from non-use?

Re: Fuel Sending Unit Access Port
I know this is really late for you, but since no one else had responded, maybe my posting will wake up the crowd? Is your dash fuel gauge pegging to the full side, the empty side, or somewhere inbetween. Does it move any as you use fuel? Or stationery in the same place all the time? The gauge in my ...

Surge Tanks
Have seen earlier discussions for replacement surge tanks. My Sahara has the original Ford (Motorcraft?) surge tank, which in the Ford world was used on the 1980-2000 (give or take) F600, F70i0, and F800 series medium duty trucks. Ford dealers can get me a plastic replacement just like the original,...

Model years 1991-1994 were on the Isuzu NPR chassis with the 3.9L diesel. Model years 1995-early 1999 were on GM (Chevy) P-series chassis for the most part (a few Spartan pusher chassis models through the 1997 model year). Mid-1999 through 2002 were on Workhorse P-series chassis, with mid-2001 chang...
