Re: Preignition dash light not coming on

Hi Tom, You mentioned that "everything else in the startup sequence appears operational." Does this include the Check Engine light illuminating for 3 to 5 seconds after "Key-On"? If the Check Engine light does not illuminate when the key is switched on, the ECM isn't powered up. ...

Re: fuel tank access

Hi Robert, Here is some information on the Winn Racor filter/water separators that were installed in our rigs that may be of help. Parker now supplies filters and support for these units. Sometime in the early 2000s when the original Racor 90S1230C filter elements became obsolete, Parker supplied an...

Re: Overheating continues

Hi Greg, As Brett mentioned, most of us have the direct belt drive fan so we aren't familiar with the fan clutch you have. If you can provide us with your engine serial number we should be able to look it up on the CAT parts website. If the fan clutch was originally supplied by CAT, the parts should...

Re: Shop in the PNW for Magnum Chassis?

I had chassis work done at Gitt's Spring in Auburn WA several years ago. King pin replacement, overhaul of the steering box, and alignment. It is a small shop with a very dedicated staff. I was pleased with the work and the charges seemed reasonable.

Re: hot skin condition?

Hi Mel, If you are plugged into shore power, the coach chassis, skin, and AC electrical system ground should all be bonded together and through your power cord to a local ground rod. You might want to verify that you have continuity from the coach ground system, or the washer/dryer receptacle ground...

Re: Clean rear radiator

Hello all, I've been following this thread with much interest. Keeping the radiator and the CAC clean is critical for proper engine cooling. Because of the radiator location, all the debris kicked up by six tires is then sucked up by the cooling fan and forced through the CAC and radiator. So keepin...

Re: Backup Camera replacement recommendations?

Hi Joey, I replaced my failing B&W monitor about two years ago with this system from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/LeeKooLuu-Trailer-Monitor-Reversing-Waterproof/dp/B0761MM7YV/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=leekooluu+rv+backup+camera&qid=1621051018&sr=8-14 This system isn't wireless,...

Ride quality improvement after torsilastic spring replacement

I would be interested in feedback from anyone that has either replaced the torsilastic springs on their rig, or installed supplemental air spring kits such as offered by Pioneer Metal Works. My primary interest is improvement in ride quality, although I understand this is very subjective. I have all...

Re: 96 Sahara 3126 fan blade needed

I’ve just finished replacing my destroyed radiator fan while stranded in Pahrump NV. In the process I’ve discovered a few things that may be helpful to others in the future, so I’m posting this to pass the information along. My fan was destroyed because the four 8mm bolts that attach the fan bearing...
