Washer Dryer No Cold Water
' I have a 98 Serengeti 4006 with a Splendide Washer/Dryer. While I have owned it for two years I am just getting around to checking out the washer/dryer. I've discovered that I have hot water to the WD but no cold. I've looked for a valve for the cold water but apparently not good enough because I ...

1998 Serengeti battery tray operation
'
Having an issue getting the battery tray to slide out. I pull up on the release bar but it refuses to budge. Any ideas?

Tub Shower Door Image
'Attachments : I'm trying to replicate the attached image on my tub/shower door. It is a stock Safari image that came on many Safari's, except mine (or my door was replaced before I purchased it). I have found a company that will make a cling for me of this image if I can find a good clear image of...

Re: Belt Numbers
'Thanks for the messages, advice and information. The consensus seems to be: The water pump (V Belt) is all agreed on CAT 0366775, or NAPA 0336 (1/2" x 34") But, it seems that my serpentine belt could be a 69", 70" or a 70 1/2", was hoping I would hear a common size. Unless ...

Belt Numbers
'Greeting All, I'm a relatively new owner of a 1998 Safari Ivory in need of information on replacement belts for my CAT 3126B engine. I've looked at my build sheet (none listed there) and tried to read any numbers from above and below, but can't see any. I'm about to leave on a trip but I don't want...

Re: Steering Gear
Update on Steering Gear Leak First, this group is GREAT. My steering gear started leaking and my first step was this group. I found this thread and realized that others have had the same problem. First I thought the simple answer was as Gerry had described just installing a plate over the existing p...

Re: Steering Gear
Gerry, Thanks for the email and help. Very much appreciated. I'm a fairly new owner of this 20 yr old Ivory, less than a year. I'm trying to get a handle on this repair. So please bare with me. If I read the thread right on Safari Friends, you originally invented the plate repair fix for the leaking...

Re: Steering Gear
Gerry, I found this old post of yours, and have the same problem you had. I crawled under today and it is leaking from the center plastic cap, just as you described in your post. I need to fix this ASAP, and your solution seems the fastest fix. I see where you said it stopped the leak. Is this a per...
