Re: 2008 Safari Trek 29
I bought a 2004 31 SBD Trek 9 years ago (time sure flies) with a magicbed. I haven't had any problems with it. However, all the magicbeds are not the same. They switched designs several times. Mine uses a 1" strap at each corner to lower the bed. Older Treks have a gear system. I'm not an autho...

Re: Fire escape windows - how to use?
Hi, Two years ago we bought a 1995 chassis - 1996 body, Safari Trek. 454 ci (7.4 l) Chevy engine. I looked at these posts and some YouTubes to get some insight on how the single driver's side fire escape window works. It is labeled as such, and has a red locking handle, but is very hard to operate....

Re: Help me figure out a problem with my house batteries
Coldest night I ever spent my one of my previous MHs was in Yellowstone NP in late June the year after the fires. On the trip there from StL, we spent every night in a campground connected to shorepower - no problems. There were no hookups available in Yellowstone. No sooner than the sun started to ...

Re: Battery Config
Depends on what brand and where you buy them. I bought Interstate GC-2 batteries at Costco for under $100 each w/exchange. The reviews weren't that good on the Interstate batteries. I took them back and when to a Continental Battery distributor near me where I purchased Trojan 125 batteries for abou...

Re: GFCI bathroom
It won't reset because it's sensing a problem. Your refrigerator may be connected. Try unplugging everything it feeds and resetting it. If it doesn't trip, plug things back in one at a time until you figure out which one is causing the problem.

Re: Bay Heater
I knew I had seen information on fixing the wet bay heater somewhere. I found them and uploaded them here as an attachment. Regretfully, I can't remember where I found them or who the author is to thank them. ' Here's link to another topic on this forum were wet bay heaters and their repair are disc...

Re: 240V to 120V adapter
When I close my eyes, why does the image of the cord plugged into this adapter appear to be smoking and ready to set everything around it on fire? Take a 30 amp circuit and plug a 15 cord (or less) into it so you can run your air conditioner or other high powered device, and you've got a receipt for...

Re: Dump handles
The color of the handles has no relationship to the tank it drains.
The easiest way to know which is which is the size of the pipe (valve). The smaller one is always the grey water and bigger one is always the black tank.
Problem solved.

Re: Camping parks
Thank you for your responses concerning our Safari Trek. Our motorhome is in pristine condition and we did send pictures including our toad —a 2020 Jeep Cherokee. Still declined our reservation request! We are about to take a lengthy trip and naturally have concerns. From what you're saying, you pr...

Re: Camping parks
I've never had a problem with the age of my Trek either. As Brett said, if they ask about the age of your MH, offer to send them pictures. The 10 year thing means they don't want shabby looking RVs in their park. Keep your Trek looking nice and you shouldn't have any problems getting into any parks ...
