You can use the combiner at any point it may not be enough but in a pinch it might

The solar panels only make 12 volt DC power My 96 Sarengeti only came with 1 75 watt and 1 small [don't remember wattage] panel. I replaced with 4 180watt panels. On mine there is a solenoid on the front firewall that throws power to fuse box that controls the dash cluster.

As someone who just went thru fuel issues , I would never run anything but the proper Cat filter.

Seems like it shold work . I looked on website and it said diesel and said it could read up to 1000 gal. But it doesn'tget specific on how it works.
