Re: Honda EV6010
That’s a good thought, I’ll check that. It’s definitely something that only happens under load, and it doesn’t sound piston/conrod related. As soon as the rain goes away.

Honda EV6010
We have a ‘93 Serengeti with a EV6010 generator. The generator starts and runs fine, until it starts producing power. Then it starts rattling and making noise so that I have to switch it off. I’m guessing something is loose in the rotating electric end I have an owners manual but it doesn’t cover th...
Re: Pacbrake
After much testing, I confirm the brake light switch is working every time. The viable wiring and connections seem fine, and I have installed a switch after the brake light switch in the Pacbrake circuit and run a new wire to the activation solenoid for the Pacbrake, this now works. But the transmis...
Re: Pacbrake
Thanks John, the switch seems to work when stopped but
as you say it could be erratic especially if movement causes vibration. I’ll have a closer look at it.

Pacbrake
My Pacbrake has decided to work intermittently. It was working fine up to a week ago, then decided to sometimes work and sometimes not. It is permanently wired on, previously when I touch the brake pedal, it kicks in, and the gearbox display panel signals a shift down to 2. Now, it kicks in sometime...

Re: Rear Brakes
John, They are failing the function of the rear. Front brakes are as good as they get, they tell me. Calipers or sticky pads are not suspect as there is only a little and acceptable imbalance between left and right. This is for a private vehicle, in NZ the inspection regime is the same. And yes, the...

Rear Brakes
‘93 Serengeti, Oshkosh chassis. Bosch Hydromax master cylinder. Looking for thoughts on why it fails our 6 monthly Certificate of Fitness check. (NZ requirement). They put it on the rollers and it only comes up to 38%, needs to be 50% to pass. New pads 12 months ago, front brakes fine. Side to side ...

'93 Serengeti Brake Pads
Hi, I'm looking for Part Nos for brake pads on my '93 Serengeti, on an Oshkosh chassis.
I've found in the forums numbers for a '94, but appears to be a different chassis.
TIA
