Instead of painting, is there a laminate(Formica-type) style that might be an alternative?
When my children were young, I covered the panel inserts with shelf liner. It saved a lot of wear and tear on me more so than the door finish.
I eventually replaced the glossy inserts with a matte finish panel.

Re: Backup Camera replacement recommendations?
Hello Bruce and Jenny The experience on dealing with LKL has been interesting. Their customer service is quick considering the global supply chain issues. The initial camera I received had IR emitters, and a sensor that detected ambient light, enabled the emitters as well as the cut-filter. Unfortun...

Re: Clean rear radiator
After using Zep(citrus degreaser), I'm now convinced that the Cummins is capable of pushing the Safari AND operating as a foam eductor.I was able to produce everything from stiff shaving-style foam to beautiful airborne bubbles.

Re: 1995 Safari Sahara Sway Bar bushings?
Tnx, Mel, greatly appreciated. I've measured f/r. Front is 1.5", rear is 1.75". Checked the rear, and both bar-end bushings are missing on the d-side. I called PMW, they're out of SafaritMonaco parts, but the gentleman that answered was spot-on with the parts I needed...they've been out of...

Re: EGT and boost sensors?
Hi Mel
You're correct, it's off by a few degrees. I've not probed it, only checked with a tic(Flir) and thermo(Raytek), stopped, walk outside, tag the crankcase/block
, valve body/block, universals, tires, wet hubs.
Instrumentation(accuracy) is lacking.
I very much appreciate any guidance.

Re: A/C compressor
Hello Chuck. I wouldn't expect much from the dash air when ambient temperatures are much above 80F. My Sahara has the Acme 570-215 valve and Acme 4100173 H-bypass. My previous '93 Winnebago had the Acme 4100173 bypass. I too made the switch to ball valves on both coaches. There's only so much heat t...

Re: EGT and boost sensors?
Hi Mel Happy Tuesday. I do have a transmission oil temperature gage. It looks to be a factory install, as it has the "Safari" logo on face. I'm still digging through various vendors to see who offers a signal mux or an electronic hub will send both the EGT and boost signals the +35' over t...

EGT and boost sensors?
My Sahara came with neither.
Did you install both/either??
Before(very accurate) or after(less accurate) the turbo?
Watching oil and water temperatures make me feel like I'm driving via the rear-view mirror.
On the flats, I'm not too worried, climbing the various passes has me sweating.

Re: Rear-cap combustion air intake grid?
Hi Bob Another option is to call them, and ask if they'll cut-to-length. I ran into that with replacing the fuel filler hose. One vendor had a minimum length of 25', another sold it by the 3' stick(I needed 5')...I bought 2 sticks and a galvanized coupling. Compartment temperatures(heat), road debri...
