Cruise Control and Shifting

We took the motorhome out for a long weekend after working on it off and on for 18 months. My question. When using the cruise control the auto shifting felt weird. It feels like it slows down the engine rpm every time it upshifts or downshifts. So you feel the motorhome slow down for a second before...

Oil Blow-by catch can or hose extension.

I would like to see some pictures of mods that were made to the slobber tube. Whether it was an extension under the rear bumper, a homemade or purchased catch can.

Thanks

Going to try the A/C air flow mod

My question before I start, does the A/C control box need to be in the airflow stream? In either the warm or cold side. Currently, it is in the cold side in a cutout in the roof. AC control box.jpg There is a company that sells a device that "increases air flow 40%". https://rvairflow.com/...

Wheel Stud

I knew better, but I did it anyway. :( I broke the driver-side front wheel stud, left hand thread. Does anyone have a good part number and I place to get one. 2000 Safari Sahara. This is an early 2000, 07-99. So it has some 99 parts and some 2000 parts. I have been working with Fleet Pride and they ...

Re: RVA Jacks bolts

rustyrobins, the bushings are easy to replace. Remove the bolt and the old bushing falls out. The bushing is between the mounting plate and the inside of the jack. Like a sway bar bushing, you tighten until the bushing starts to buldge. Attached is a picture looking up at the new bushing. 20220210_1...

Re: RVA Jacks bolts

There is a rubber bushing on the bolt. The bushing was smashed, hard, and cracking. I replaced the bushing and there was a lot less movement.

Re: Calipers, pads and rotors for a 2000 Sahara, what and where to get?

I have an early 2000 Sahara. It has different breaks on the back. Same front as the rest. I pulled a rear caliper off and took it and the pads to NAPA. After over an hour of searching, we found a match. We found it under a mid-90s GMC school bus. Now to find rotors. Front: (I used the reference numb...

Re: Calipers, pads and rotors for a 2000 Sahara, what and where to get?

OK, so I found the parts based on the casting numbers. Advanced had them as the calipers and pads for a Ford F650 2006. The casting numbers for the calipers is 4153222. The problem is that this casting number will bring 15 different part numbers, and they will all be correct. In reality, the F650 o...
