Re: SOLAR PANEL EDUCATION PLEASE

I’m sure all my batteries are tied together and I need to change some cables/ends. My head spins when I look at the snake pit of cables. I also cannot pull battery tray all the way out. Have posted pictures of front of engine compartment and do not any idea what they are. Thanks

Re: SOLAR PANEL EDUCATION PLEASE

All 3 of my batteries have same voltage with nothing on and with headlights on. 12.8 then 12.5. Needs to do some troubleshooting. Had in shop right after buying and some batteries were replaced. Guess shop connected all together. Thanks

Re: SOLAR PANEL EDUCATION PLEASE

My panel is exactly what TDjohn described. Large panels seem to keep house batteries charged but do not think smaller one is working. I’m not sure if my batteries are even separated for house and starting. More trouble shooting I guess. Thanks for the input.

Re: SOLAR PANEL EDUCATION PLEASE

This is the OP, the panel that shows voltage is not the same one as tank condition. It is a small panel beside sink and shows a red light when AC voltage is available and LED panel that shows volts. Usually only 103-107. What is the smaller solar panel for? Thanks

SOLAR PANEL EDUCATION PLEASE

I was reading post from new owner 95 Sahara and got me wondering how my solar panels work. The two large panels are like the ones TDJohn answered. Same fuse up front and when inverter is on shows 105-110 volts on control panel. I unplugged the fuse in yellow connector to make sure it was the one for...

Re: Dometic Penguin AC

Would appreciate it. I thought about modifying new couch also but wouldn't mind getting rid of heater anyway. Too loud and difficult to keep comfortable temperature. By the way, I have son who works for Redmond police dept. Been trying to get out there for a visit. Thanks

Dometic Penguin AC

I have the original Penguin AC on my coach. I’m considering adding the heating elements to them and wondering if anyone has had experience with them. Am planning to change to a better couch and my gas furnace is under mine now and in the way. Thanks

Re: Speedometer and Odometer acting like Tach

I’ve had similar issues. My tach and fuel gauge are erratic sometimes. Seems to happen more often when running generator. Stops for a moment when turn on blinkers or headlights. Feel sure it’s a ground issue just haven’t spent the time to track it down yet but it’s on the list
