1995 Safari Sahara Sway Bar bushings?

Noticed a bit of a bump this last trip. I need new bushings for the factory front/rear sway bars. I've dug through the various threads, and not had any luck locating the size/density. While I can find a variety of sizes that match the remnants of the pieces I have in place, I'm unable to accurately ...

Re: Allison transmission filters

Hello Mel I pulled the original plug to check the state of it(soft pliable or hard brittle). It was extremely stiff and very chewed up. The coach is only a '95 with 71k Mi. on it, so I have no excuse as to why the rubber was so destroyed(vibration or the PO(shop)) may have noodled with it. I do get ...

Re: Allison transmission filters

Another lesson I recently learned after my Conifer->Cortez r/t, check and/or replace the plug in the "other" dipstick hole. I'd noticed a bit of weeping somewhere along the driver side of the MD3060. Dust does not a proper oil seal make. I finally crawled under and started laying hands alo...

Fuel filler hose

Coaches have a variety of smells, all recognizable. After today’s fuel stop, I noticed a different odor while driving. I stopped, check my boots to see if I stepped in someone else’s fuel…nope. Got out, did a walk around, all clear. Looked underneath, and there was the culprit. ~76,000 drops of fuel...

Re: High Resolution Camera System: Driving and Surveillance

External IR illuminators are the ticket for night-vision. Depending on their wavelength, their "glow" ranges from an extremely dull filament(red glow), to zero visible(>940nm) to the human eye. I've been using a IR laser pointer and IR googles for work, and the remote illumination is the h...

Re: Semi VS Motorhome

One of my biggest fears right there. I’ve responded to too many MVAs, and none that involved motorhomes(any class) ended well. The trailer was carrying Class 3(placard indicates crude oil), but Class 2/Class 3 are Flammables. While many laws can be violated, those of physics should be adhered to. Th...

Re: High Resolution Camera System: Driving and Surveillance

Hello Robert et al One of the problems you'll run into if locating an IR source behind glass and some plastics, is that the IR will be reflected back from the lense material. You'll need to disable the IR emitters, or replace the portal with an IR AND visible light admitting material. Below isn't my...

Re: New Owner 1993 Ivory

We went long(70”-~90”) on three pairs of belts. At the time I bought our coach, both of my children were in child safety seats. The belts needed to come through the rear of the couch as well as under the front in order accommodate mounting the seats backwards to vehicle travel. You should be able to...

Re: 1998 Safari Serengeti electric schematic

Hello Peter
Will it crank and not start, or does it not crank at all?
Does it crank/start/run when you use the switches on the front of the generator?
Do youhave the 6.5kW LP generator?
Does your house LP tank have sufficientpropane in it?
Stay safe.

Re: Allison transmission filters

As Mel has stated, there's no need to drain the fluid(drain plug is 3/8" square-drive, located on the horizontal(bottom) of the control module(the MD3060 has no pan per se). Check the cast filter covers PRIOR to removing your filters. If the cover has the the numbers "29507434", you'l...
