Re: 8.1L check engine light but no symptoms
Could be as easy as a loose gas cap....which I have had before, but should find someone with a diagnostic reader tool or buy one for yourself. I bought a Creader Pro 129E for my Buick via the Amazon website and really works and clears codes

Re: “House” and “Power” switches in entryway
Looks like the plate has been removed before....maybe you need to do the same and see what and where the wires are connected. Maybe last owner disconnected something because they didn't know how to fix it! Black switch is called a momentary switch and is used for temporary use while pressing it like...

Re: Engine over heating: checking list
Actually there is 2 senders on the regulator( thermostat) housing next to each other and each is used for 1 only. I spent a frustrating hour or two with my big hands and reached under the CAC pipe and between the alternator and regulator housing to carefully remove the sending wires and swap them ov...

Re: Engine AC
Basically the answer is YES if you haven't looked at the website I posted. The difference between the air going into/ past evaporator coils and output from vents have a DT however the delta temperature is an AC mechanic's rule of thumb so if you want to PAY someone to say the same thing and NOT do s...

Re: Engine AC
What is your Delta Temperature, the difference between the outside temperature and the AC vent temperature. I should be up to 20 degrees, which is good Can't expect more! https://www.rvtechmag.com/tech/51_r134.php

Re: Renogy 200W solar "suitcase" conflict with 100W roof panel?
Panel efficiency has moved very slow since I started my training in solar installations in 2013, 19% then, 22% now!! Key issues are wire size and length of wire. As a test, I got a great deal on a Renogy 200watt kit last year ($183.00, a return from Amazon deal) like yours and replaced the wires to ...

Re: Renogy 200W solar "suitcase" conflict with 100W roof panel?
Yes John "TDJohn" has it right as I too repurposed my solar roof panel with a new "cheap" controller and wire to my engine battery bank. I cut out as much of the old under gauged solar wire starting at the panel. It was all 14 g or 16g and is way tooo small for solar but back in ...

Re: Blocker Heater
I would cycle the grid intake heater 3-4 times before cranking it over....and use the boost switch. Change oil to 5w40 for the cold times
