Re: 1995 Safari Ivory Magnum Chassis 8.3 front brakes

These are the part numbers for my rig, which is the same year as yours. On my coach the calipers and pads are the same front to back. That said, I have found other coach owners with the same year coach as mine had the same rear pads and calipers as mine, but a bit smaller ones up front. Yours seems ...

Any ballpark ideas as to the cost to remove shave and reinstall a manifold with new gasket on my 2000 Safari Continental Panther 300 hp 3126 diesel engine? Trying to get idea as to whether I want to bother my son to do it or have it done professionally. Any ideas out there? Thanks. Well, that is in...

Re: ENGINE OIL AND FILTER RECOMENDATIONS

I would highly recommend Fleetguard oil filters for your Cummins. Not only are they a high quality filter, but Cummins uses Fleetguard as their OEM filter. If your OEM number is Fleetguard LF3000, then the improved and superseded number is LF9009. The LF9009 has two filters in one in it. The regular...

You measure from the bottom of the belt line to the center of each wheel, at all for corners, coach completely level, fully loaded for travel.

Re: Mileage and tank size - gauge malfunction

Welcome to the Safari world!
Usually those get between 8 and 9 mpg, but if you have mountain grades and/or a head wind, all bets are off. If you go 60 to 65 your mileage should improve.
Enjoy your new journey!

Re: 1997 Cat 3126 300hp

what about a 95 Sahara? I tried the scanguage, I found the round port under the steering column, but didn't look like it would connect. How did you use extra pins to achieve that. Pics would be helpful No, your coach has a mechanical Cummins engine, and thus there is no computer to plug into. Coach...

Re: For sale 1996 safari sahara $20K obo

Dwayne, If you have the Cummins engine, it could be the oil sending unit itself, they are known to get very erratic or quit all together. I have a diagram for those sensor, but my engine is an 8.3L so it might not be the same as the 5.9L if that is what you have. The sensors are next to one another,...

Wow John that's the one. Look to the back side for the match. The price is a shock to me and it'd keep me searching. I paid way under $100. Vanman1 I just sent a note with both your pictures to the Ebay seller that had mine asking if he can find a match. Seller was 70elko70 on the Bay. I am definit...

Re: fuel tank access

Bob, Those dark spots sort of look like the algae that can develop in diesel. If your filter is only 12 GPH, it is too restrictive and also will clog a lot more quickly, especially if you get a batch of algae contaminated fuel. I know of one member that had overheating issues and lack of full boost....
