Re: 1997 Cat 3126 300hp
what about a 95 Sahara? I tried the scanguage, I found the round port under the steering column, but didn't look like it would connect. How did you use extra pins to achieve that. Pics would be helpful No, your coach has a mechanical Cummins engine, and thus there is no computer to plug into. Coach...

Dwayne, If you have the Cummins engine, it could be the oil sending unit itself, they are known to get very erratic or quit all together. I have a diagram for those sensor, but my engine is an 8.3L so it might not be the same as the 5.9L if that is what you have. The sensors are next to one another,...

Wow John that's the one. Look to the back side for the match. The price is a shock to me and it'd keep me searching. I paid way under $100. Vanman1 I just sent a note with both your pictures to the Ebay seller that had mine asking if he can find a match. Seller was 70elko70 on the Bay. I am definit...

Re: fuel tank access
Bob, Those dark spots sort of look like the algae that can develop in diesel. If your filter is only 12 GPH, it is too restrictive and also will clog a lot more quickly, especially if you get a batch of algae contaminated fuel. I know of one member that had overheating issues and lack of full boost....

This looks like the identical part you need. It's not cheap, but way less then what you were quoted. If I'm not mistaking, the outfit is located in MO. They are familiar with Safari coaches and many of our past members have used this company...Hope this helps. BTW, have you checked the components of...

Just curious, is that a front engine unit or a rear engine, gas pusher?
Does it have a Ford Transmission or an Allison?

Re: looseing power on 30 amp breaker in electrical panel
Assuming that you have an inverter charger, and not just an inverter, does your inverter charge the house batteries when this issues occurs??? Check for loose connections where the shore power feeds into the inverter. I have seen on a few occasions there the wiring feeding into the inverter gets loo...

Re: Washington state bound
Heading to WA that late in the season, you might be better of hugging the California and OR coastline to avoid bad weather, or play in the southwest, like AZ for the winter. If you do go up the coast, obviously stay off of the real curvy and narrow parts of coastal route 1...

Brian, nice write up, I will have to remember some of those suggestions, especially around KY. Oldcobia, Badlands National Park, which is near Wall, SD is also a great place to see. If you are set up to Boondock, there is a nice area to stay at the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands, about two miles be...

Re: fuel tank access
Bob, I strongly suggest that you contact Dave Atherton (retired CAT master troubleshooter) before you start replacing CAT fuel system parts. He is really good and has saved many people tons of money, by avoiding unnecessary expensive repairs. If you are getting air into the system or have fuel flow ...
