I'll try to figure out where are those connections. Any hint is welcome!

Re: Problem with shift panel: no display
Mel, as you own the same Safari as me, would you know how to disconnect/reconnect the ECM as Brett suggests it to do? Also where are those two Allison 12 VDC positives that Brett suggests to test here: https://community.fmca.com/topic/5936-allison-transmission/ . Thank you Patrick Safari Sahara '96 ...

Re: Problem with shift panel: no display
Sorry Brett for my mistake and thank you for pointing me out the good procedure. So the codes are: d1: 2 3 then 1 2 (repeating) d2: - - d3: - - d4: - - d5: - - Strangely enough, I didn't find in the operator's manual of Allison (that I got from previous owner) a table with the signification of the d...

Re: Problem with shift panel: no display
Thank you Brett and Mel for your help. I have to admit that I finally took the road (before reading your messages). Of course, I made it very slowly and was checking all the time the shift panel and the dashboard to make sure everything was ok. Brett, before departure yesterday (and before the shift...

Problem with shift panel: no display
Hi, We're on our depart for a 3-day trip and a new problem is occuring with our motorhome: there is no display on the shift panel! First time I started the engine, I notice a "partial" display with notice "Mode on service". I parked the RV, shut if off and restarted. Now there is...

Re: Engine does not start, transmission selector problem
Sure Mel, here is a picture of the "alternator access door", right close to the bed. I'm very surprised that you don't have the same as we have both a Sahara 96.

Re: While on shore power, voltage on motorhome body
Well I left this morning my brother's home with my Safari (with its new alternator) but for your info Brett, I was connected on 15A (standard electrical outlet). I will definitely let my brother know all you told me Brett, John, Tom and Don!
Thanks again to all of you

Re: Engine does not start, transmission selector problem
Ok I did a good cleaning job these two last days (and also did a good job of tie-wrapping a lot of wires) and took my measures again. With engine running, the voltage measures were ok at the left and right lugs of the isolator but 0 at the central one. Took also a measure directly on B+ terminal of ...

Re: While on shore power, voltage on motorhome body
Thank you for your help John, Brett and Tom. After verification, my brother and I found that his garage is not grounded (I was connected to an outlet of his garage). Probably caused by squirrels, racoons or other rodents that swarm here in the country. Finally a problem that is not related to my mot...

While on shore power, voltage on motorhome body
Hello guys While working on exterior body (I was touching the body with my shoulder while my hand rested on the ground), I noticed what seemed to be a small burn on my skin. I took a voltage measure at body : it was nearly 14 VAC! (I was on shore power). After disconnecting shore power, no more volt...
