Re: Rear Heater 1998 Safari Sahara

ccastle,
Generic part, my 96 geti has the same ones. They owned a pallet load of them and put them in all SMCs. Pretty common on the shelves at RV parts shops too

Re: Solar connections

If you are talking the original wiring and the 21x48" panel, it should pop up to 17+ volts unless it is shadowed by you or dirt at mid morning to late afternoon. The biggest problem is the wiring is really TOO small to do a good daily charging. Mine went through the refer vent, across the ceili...

Are you going to stainless steel screw it back on or pop rivet it on?

Re: Best residential-style refrigerator?

Brian,
If you are going to a res refer you will have to get a power evaluation as to whether you want to run it off grid boondocking or from a park or gennie as the 120v plug in back of refer does not run from the existing onboard inverter. Then an efficient Energy Star unit would be helpful.

Re: Brake Fluid Reservoir

Either on top of the master brake, in wheel well under driver floor or remotely, like mine, under front hood centered next to the heat box and fuse panels.

Re: New Shocks my experience

John,
Thanks for the info, I did notice Bump compression differences on a Koni spec sheet but now know which one is best for Safaris, smoother! Again thanks for the knowledgeable info, this is great

Re: New Shocks my experience

I have been keeping an eye on Koni part numbers on this and other sites and seems that for my 96 Geti 3740 with VelvetRide no bags I need 88-1641SP3 in the front, however early posts show my rear as 88-1458 "SP2" and now I see it as 88-1458 "SP1" on this forum. Is there a differe...

Re: Dometic Penguin 2 Heat Pump Dripping

Same leaker on mine. took off inside housing...and cleaned it and the filters ( a novel idea ;) ). I reached in the front intake area hole and felt in that hollow tray area where the hold down bolt is and electrical box is and there was water. It is above the foam roof seal which could leak but I kn...

Re: Engine Over heating

Robert, Simple Green Pro HD is available at Canadian Tire, bottom shelf in household cleaning supplies section as I have seen in a lot of western Canada's CanTire stores. Simple Green Extreme seems to be made in small batches and come and go on Amazon.ca. I too had a quick overheating as the day war...
