Re: Another ScanGauge Disappointment

Is it possible? My coach has the J1708 connector under the dash which has 6 dins and only 4 have wires connected to it. The same with the J1708 diagnostic plug in the back service bay, 6 dins holes and only 4 wires. The Safari Magnum IntelliDrive plug has about 30 dins only but 6 wires connected to ...

Another ScanGauge Disappointment

Hi Folks, This is a paid announcement, I paid, they laughed all the way to the bank. Don't do it! I did and I would do something different if I would have known. I should have read the post here more carefully, you tried to warn me. You know the story, my wonderful Safari Magnum IntelliDrive System ...

Re: Side Windows Replacement

RV Glass Solutions in Coburg, Oregon does a good job. A little expensive but fast and quite professional. They have hookups so you can stay same on the grounds before or after service. Nice walking areas too. They right down the street from REV in the old Monaco building. We had our the driver widow...

Re: Headlight upgrade

RE: Headlights. That's super Jeff, but my 97 Ivory has 4 headlights each measure 6.5" x 4.25". I am going to looking into this upgrade though because I have noticed myself my headlights at night are not impressive. I may just need new lights as old lights do get dimmer. I like the LED idea...

Re: 1990 serengeti oshkosh chassis sway bar bushings

Hi, I just saw this post about sway bar bushings. Would these rubber parts from Freightliner work for Magnum Velvet ride chassis sway bars as well? My bolts, washers, and rubber in shackles are good. I just want those rubber mini donuts for the long bolts. A Freightliner dealer with parts counter is...

Re: Shocks etc. We are new here. thread

Jeff(ProCycle), Thank you, all my sway bars are lose and need new rubber bushings, maybe nuts as well. Good news to me, I can fix it. Brett(wolfe10), Thank you. I have yet to learn how how adjust coach height. Thank you also for your work on shocks with Ralph. Very interesting study and conclusion o...

Re: We are new here.

Thanks Jeff and Brett, Yes it's Velvet Ride. Redhead is only a few miles from here. I have already rebuilt the Vickers vane pump but I may need help to drop the M80. Sway bars are a good thing for me to check, and shocks, and height. I don't think this coach was ever owned by someone who, ...well th...

Re: We are new here.

Thanks Jeff, getting a response when new like we are is important to us. From your signature it looks like your coach is pretty close to ours. If we where face to face I would hammer you with a million questions. This forum is good to get me in check. Right now my biggest concern is steering. I have...

We are new here.

Hello everyone! We are happy to be part of Safari Friends. We have been living fulltime in motorhomes for 16+ years but only in our Safari 1 year. This is smaller and older than our last MH but we really like our little SMC. Truthfully we joined the forum because of other owners have have a great we...
