Re: What is the Safari model lineup or hierarchy?
Thanks for the info. I found this (in the 2000 SMC Corp 10-K filing): PRODUCT INFORMATION BY SUBSIDIARY SOLITAIRE The Solitaire was introduced in the third quarter of 1999. It is built on Magnum monocoque chassis and has a tag axle design. The coach measures forty-five feet in length and is by far t...

Re: What did SMC build from, 1986 - 1990?
Reading about the SMC history it says SMC was incorporated in 1986 and production began in 1987. The Trek line was introduced in 1991 (according the Wikipedia site on Trek). So what did SMC build in 1987-1990? I thought the Trek was the "first Class A" offered by Safari. Did SMC build any C...

Re: Looking for info on an SMC Slide where support beams go through Frame rail
Hi Gary, I've been researching the Beaver-SMC-Monaco history and have writen down everthing I have learned (of course there's conflicting info out there, so maybe it's not all correct) but this is what I learned (link to document https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtvAXw_lfqbToxXYREK9YdBP08Jn ) After Monaco acquir...

What is the Safari model lineup or hierarchy?
I was looking for a listing of Safari coaches by lineup (most expensive to lowest price) and could not find anything. I tried to put together what I found - but I could not find an official SMC product lineup publication. Does this look right (for Class A coaches)? It's tough as these models did not...

Re: who is the manufacturer of the "Air-over-Hydraulic" brake system?
After posting that link to my file collection. I removed it. I was thinking no one would be interested and it was sort of off topic for this thread. But since you found it useful, maybe someone else will too - so here is the link again: SMC-BVR-Mnco Chassis and Suspension Info, History https://1drv....

Re: who is the manufacturer of the "Air-over-Hydraulic" brake system?
BTW, why can't you just post a picture of the master cylinder on your '05 Beaver and match that up??? I information I'm looking for is not for my coach (I have a 2005 Patriot Thunder, which has full air brakes) so I can't post a photo. It was another Coach owner with a 98 Patriot that asked for hel...

Re: who is the manufacturer of the "Air-over-Hydraulic" brake system?
Some of the early coaches built from 1996 -2000 (maybe later) that where built on the Magnum Air chassis had " Air-over-Hydraulic " brakes where a brake treadle valve (or similar valve) was used to apply air to a brake chamber that applied (pushed on) the rod for the hydraulic master cylin...

Re: who is the manufacturer of the "Air-over-Hydraulic" brake system?
If anyone has the Air-Over-Hydraulic brakes, can you post a photo of the master cylinder - booster assembly? I think I can find the manufacture if I have a photo of the setup. Someone said this setup used Bosch brake calipers. But I could not find anything on the master cylinder or air chamber boost...
