Re: Where to find a master cylinder rebuild kit.
Okay, so after weeks of phone calls and internet searches, a RV dealer had a magic number, 1-800-385-4357 for Freightliner help and they have a help desk for Oshkosh. They were able to get him some part numbers, however, my dealer also pointed me to a Napa down the street in Lewisville and several &...

Mounting solar panels
Just FYI... When I installed my first panels, I found lots of places wanting to take my money for all kinds of mounting kits. I ended up designing my own using SuperStruts, 1/4 in. strut channel spring nuts, steel tapped hole U-style clip-on nuts, 3" coated door hinges and assorted bolts and wa...

Re: Help me figure out a problem with my house batteries
Note that with larger inverters, mine is 4KW, there is a ghost drain that can run the lithium battery down to its BMS cutoff voltage during the night, even with no load. I always put mine in sleep mode when I go to bed. While I have enough solar to run my refrigerator, and some AC, during the day, I...

Where to find a master cylinder rebuild kit.
I have found several links in previous posts however they either do not work anymore or do not have parts for my rig. I have a 1990 Safari Serengeti, 38ft diesel, which seems to be built on a GM chassis by Oshkosh Motors. Does anyone know of a company that actually knows something about these beasts...

Re: Emergency Hydraulic Parking Brake Switch Broken
Does anyone know where to find a rebuild kit for the master cylinder? A1-Cardone told me today that they no longer do master cylinders.

Re: Emergency Hydraulic Parking Brake Switch Broken
On my Serengeti that reservoir supplies a pump that supplies fluid to the automatic parking, power steering and brake booster. As someone else suggested earlier, use Dextron III non synthetic. Mine was empty also and took over two quarts. All three systems bled themselves fine.

Re: Levelers Up and Warning Beep Continues
Thanks to these threads I no longer have to listen to the warning buzzer. Mine is a 90-91 Serengeti 38ft diesel on some sort of a GM chassis. I found that my leveler is an integrated pump/reservoir near the top of the wheel well behind the front driver's side wheel, just above the brake booster/mast...

Re: Levelers Up and Warning Beep Continues
This is an older thread but then, so are our rigs. I have this same issue on a 1990 Serengeti 38ft diesel. I have found the pump/reservoir hiding on the driver's front side almost behind the left front wheel and directly above the brake master/booster. At the top of what appears to be a reservoir in...

Re: Auto parking break and levelers issues.
Further update: Reviewing other threads pointed me to the power steering pump and reservoir, which was pretty much empty. Filled it to its full level and the power steering definitely feels better. As for the parking brake I would assume that the actuator, and there for, the brake shoes would be eng...
