Re: Renogy 200W solar "suitcase" conflict with 100W roof panel?

Can't say exactly for sure on your year and model but on my '98 Serengeti the controller is in the exterior electrical compartment near the left front wheel. It's in the upper left corner. Mine had a 75watt panel that was completely dead. Put out less than 1 volt in full sun and several of the wafer...

Re: Removing kitchen cabinet above sink area

Securing the microwave was fairly easy. I drilled four recessed holes on the top of the shelf for each foot of the microwave to sit down in, then went to Ace Hardware which carries assorted nylon web strapping sold by the foot. They also sell buckles and other fittings. I purchased a buckle and enou...

Re: CAT 3126B oil change interval

Yes, The Fumoto Valve replaced my drain plug. What's great about the valve is the ability to start and stop the flow. If you add a piece of tubing you can drain the oil into milk jugs or any other handy container. Since I'm full timing and don't really have a place to store empty containers, when th...

Re: CAT 3126B oil change interval

My goal is to keep my HUEI happy so 5000 miles is my change interval. I do the changes myself so it's cheap insurance. Been on the road full time two years and I'm always able to find a spot to change the oil. Even if I'm doing oil changes twice as often as the book says, I can still do a whole lot ...

Re: Door Seal

Yep, just did mine a couple days ago as well as replacing the broken Pos-a-lock hold open mechanism. The link in the previous reply is the place to use. The price is per foot. You'll need to measure your door at the appropriate points. You'll want to get some new spline material too. One thing to no...

Re: Removing kitchen cabinet above sink area

Another alternative is to do something completely different with that area, like making some small nick-knack shelves or a spice rack. The sides of the shelves could extend up and cover the ends of the trim and the back could cover the wiring. You can even us the 12V to add some lighting on the shel...

Re: Updated Bathroom Light

Nice looking fixture, very modern.

So far I'm hanging onto all my brass fixtures. I'm figuring enough time has passed that they'll be coming back in style any time now.

Re: Charging Lithium batteries with stock alternator

Good info, thanks. Yes, the late evening top off is what drives me nuts. Some generator time in the am is fine because I can make my coffee and toast if I want. Plus, with the batteries accepting more amps I don't feel the need to run it very long. With the lead acid batteries I get wound pretty tig...

Re: Charging Lithium batteries with stock alternator

Thanks for the info. That confirms what I thought. I have read some conflicting info as to the Leece Neville alternators being able to handle high output for long periods of time. I figured the safe way to go was a dc to dc charger, and I have looked at the Renogy 60amp dc to dc charger. That way I ...
