The company that makes the wiring adapter you'll need is at: http://metraonline.com/ . Contact them for technical assistance. You'll need your new radio model. I think a lot of radios of that era were Delco.

Is your reservoir full between the lines?
Are the jacks fully retracted? One could be bent.
If it's cold the jacks may retract slowly.
