Removing the Pocket Door

Can someone tell me how to remove the pocket door please? I have 2. One to the bedroom the other at the kitchen/Shower entrance.

One door needs the wheels cleaned and lubed, the other has the vinyl lifting off the separating wall which is dragging on the door. I removed the trim and see 2 track screws. It looks like removing a track screw might allow the door track to be turned into the room and the door slid out of the track. But that is only if there are just 2 screws holding the track. If more than 2, this is not the correct method.

Robert,

Contact Bill E., he removed his two doors within the last two months, during his travels...

My coach has 2 sliding doors but only the galley/bath door is a "pocket door".

I can remove that door by first detaching the door from the 2 roller trolleys and then maneuvering the door out of the door opening.

However my bath/bedroom "sliding door" is easier to remove.....(In fact if I drive the coach long/far enough with that door not securely strapped in place can/does remove itself).

Thanks John and Mel

Mel, do I unscrew the vertical bolts from the rollers? If so, it seems like that is going to be difficult getting the bolts started back in while balancing and lifting the door upwards.

It is difficult but not impossible...(a second pair of hands is helpful).

Have you pulled the shifter lever all the way back to the 1 position, and removed the plastic panel with the marked positions? That might be getting in the way of you pulling back the console.

Thank you, I did get it off without any trouble. I removed the trim on the opposite side and saw the latching levers. Lifting them up allowed the roller to exit the track. I did a presentation on this on my site in my signature.
