Windshield gaskets

Post by blhuff1 »

We have a water leak near the drivers floorboard. I had the drivers window removed and reset as well as resealed. That appears to work. I found water intrusion again, and suspect the windshield gasket. The first and previous owner passed away and I am not able to ask why they used silicone on the top of the windshield gasket. I am going to install a new floor and have a question.
Does anyone in here know if a new windshield gasket might available?
I think I might qualify for new glass due to a couple large chips. We live in Az, so maybe here in the Phoenix area?

A good windshield replacement outfit should be able to obtain a windshield gasket. Also, your newer Safari is made by Monaco, so maybe give them a call, think they still have info for the Monaco built coaches, but no longer have or support info for the SMC built Safaris.

Similar question. Gasket on my 96 Continental is old, dry-rotted and shrinking.

I am near Tucson, Arizona

Anyone have a recommendation for a good glass repair shop that could replace this gasket?

Thanks
