Mine is worse then that on the passenger side. Previous dealer skim coated it and and painted the RV, looked decent when we bought but started to fall apart within a year.

I think the only real fix is to remove all the aluminum on that side, replace the wood panels and have fiberglass product installed.

Mine was like this when i first bought it. First order of biz is to find out why it happened to stop further damage. Most likely water getting behind the panel. I didnt want to get into replacing the sides on mine because at the end of the day its over 20 years old and not worth it IMO.

Regardless of paint technique (or vinyl wrap) the corrosion needs to be removed and delamination needs to be somewhat "fixed". I used PL Premium extreme exterior adhessive to glue the wood and aluminum back together best I could. The big holes I filled with JB weld steel stick and skim coated with alumafill (which is a metal re-inforced bondo). Smaller issues i just skimed with the alumifill.

For painting i have tried a bunch of stuff. First I started by just repairing all the white sections, I then primed and installed a white vinyl wrap from amazon. 100% better than what I had but not perfect. I then tried spraying it and honestly was just too time consuming to mask it off correctly and i got very aggravted with overspray etc...

After alot of research on youtube I decided to give topside paint a try which is designed for boats. This option has worked great. Topside paint is easy to roll/brush on and you can tackle a few spots at a time after work etc.. My unit is white and blue and I found colors that are very close online.
