Basement Floor rotting

Post by iree75 »

I recently replaced my fresh water pump only to find other things leaking on my 4066 Panter. Upon removing the partitions around the grey/black tanks, the various long term leaks caused the plywood floor to rot and bow, dropping the grey tank down and cracking one of the pips going to it. I have that all fixed but the only thing keeping me from putting my hand thru the floor in that section is the carpet. So I'm planning on removing the water valves / pump / grey tank and anything else I need to remove to get at the floor. A few questions to anyone that's tackled this..
Anyone ever used "Starboard" or other synthetic plywood? If so what thickness did you use?
I'm going to destroy the carpet, any good sources for new carpet that would match what was used in the basements on these?
At the same time I want to replace the water manifold valves which were just individual valves put together with a newer hot/cold pex integrated manifold. Searching for ideas from others that have done this.

Thanks,
-Frank
