Chassis or Dash AC capacity Acme system

Post by Willsonrick »

Does any one know the R 134 Capacity for a 1998 Sahara model 3006. It has the Acme system. I can't seem to find it online.

Thanks.

Rick,
I have a 96 30' Sahara and had to completely refill my system 2 years ago when my compressor had to be replaced, and I ended up using almost 5 lbs of R134A to charge my system back up. As far as to looking online for the capacity, there really isn't anyplace that has it because of the design of our systems with the long hose runs (not like a car/truck where it's a known capacity). When I did mine, I filled to the temp chart versus trying to guess how many lbs were being input into the system since I had an issue with the cans themselves during the process (new self-sealing cans need a different valve than the old tap one, so I lost some in the hassle) Hope this gives you some starting point.
