Kwikee gear box PN 7250942 Rreplacement?

I don't know where to start! My 2007 Safari is at the repair shop today. The technician said I need a new gear box, but he can't find a cross reference, so he wants me to purchase a 1k new step. Can anyone help me?

Also, the gear assembly has these plastic cylindrical plugs that tend to jam up when they get oblong. You can get at a place like Advance Auto. They are usually labeled window motor plugs. I don't recall the part number for the plugs.
