Re: 1996 Safari Continental
Sounds like I didn't get as good a deal... I'm in Arizona. Seems to be very few people qualified or willing to do windshields on these - or maybe I didn't search long enough.
Tucson has a place called "Windshields Arizona". They came to me. You can see part of their "purpose built" trailer that they're standing on.
When I started, neither windshieid needed to be replaced, but the gasket was so old and rotten that there were very noticible "whistling" coming from both sides of the windshields. The whistling was annoying, but the thought of losing one or both while driving down the road...
Cost me $2746.00
The gasket cost $416.00
The windshield cost $743.00 (each, but I needed only one)
Then there is the Black Urethane I'll call it 'caulking' - that they put around the gasket - $150.00
Labor was $1,350.00
I did get ahold of another place - they have three locations: Oregon, Florida and Indiana... I know that there have to be more, but my limited search ability kept me from finding anyone else that would reply...
