Can someone identify what this is on my dash and what it does. 2000 Safari Continental Panther.

Looks like a microphone for a hands-free cell phone setup.

It is an Alarm speaker for what I have never determined. It was on the Z and on my Panther too John. It used to beep a short one in the Z on occasion but never determined why...
