Here is an update on tail lights. https://rvyard.com/?fbclid=IwAR3q0l7sG8 ... 3rFJpBhO9Y

He is charging $125 for just the lens in clear and amber. $200 for both lens and bezel.
Guard your red lens because they are almost gone and he cannot get any more. $500 each for a red lens.
This includes free shipping within the USA. (hopefully if you need a red one, your insurance company is paying for it!)
I know these are expensive, but he is the only known place that has them. He paid through the teeth to get them.

YIKES! I replaced my tail light assemblies a few years ago, probably right before the company closed. The bad news is, I tossed the old lenses and it looks like they are now worth their weight in Gold!

At the time I had sent an email inquiring about their LED version but never heard back. Now I know why.

I have to wonder about something that I saw on TV and making replacement lenses. I was watching American Restoration (Rick Dale in Las Vegas) and they did molds of an Italian Scooter lens, then poured the chemical in to make a new lens that looked identical. My curiosity is if someone was to make a lens like that, would they be able to qualify it for DOT standards (or would anyone know the difference)? I have totally different brake lights on the rear of my rig so don't have this issue, but I wonder if anyone has contacted any of the restoration type of places to see what kind of answer they may be given? Perhaps it may be worth a try?? Just my odd thought for the day.

I have a 94 Serengeti Ivory. The lights were made by Hella. They are still in business and may have a suitable replacement for the whole assembly. Should be way cheaper.

Mr. Ivory
The tail lights on a '94 are completely different than these: Image

He has dropped the price to $100 each delivered for clear and amber. And $180 delivered for a pair of lenses.
