Levelers Up and Warning Beep Continues

Post by Jumpnjoe59 »

The level system is working as advertised, however, warning light and sound does not shut off. Is there a second tank that holds fluid for the system? The tank in the basement is full.

The only RVA jack "tank" is the one labeled "Pump Reservoir Assembly" in this drawing: https://www.rvajack.com/image/cache/cat ... x315_3.png....(AND as pictured here: https://rvcomponents.visonerv.com/mm/M296/M296.1.jpg)

Joe,
Is your reservoir full between the lines?
Are the jacks fully retracted? One could be bent.
If it's cold the jacks may retract slowly.

Thanks for the replies. I did not know there was a tank there. I thought it the fluid came from the tank in the basement that contains the mechanicals. I will check the level of this newly identified tank.

There is only the one "RVA jack fluid reservoir" in the "basement"of my coach... it looks like this:
[image] https://img2.visonerv.com/3EuIe7oEiI/M296.1.jpg[/image], (and it has no no visible "fluid level lines").

The plastic tank, in the "curb side rear service bay", which does have the "fluid level lines", is the "power steering/power brake fluid reservoir".

HOW TO PROPERLY SET THE RVA JACK FLUID LEVEL if/when the red light and bong are giving a warning, and they DON'T SHUT OFF when all 3 jacks are fully retracted:
1.) With the ignition key on extend any one jack 6"... with the other two jacks fully retracted.
2.) Unscrew and remove the reservoir cap from top of pump reservoir.
3.) Slowly add fluid until the red light and bong turn off

The RVA JII leveling system is equipped with a warning device to indicate the position of your jacks. A fluid level sensor inside the fluid reservoir turns on the warning system when enough fluid has been pumped out of the reservoir to extend one or more jacks a total of 5-6". The pulsating red light and bong alarm will come on at that time. This is only true if the fluid level is properly set. Fluid used in the RVA JII leveling system is Dexron III

Joe

On my coach the leveler fluid tank is to the rear (left)of the battery tray. This is a bad design for maintenance. If you click on the battery upgrade presentation in the link below, this will give you an idea what you are dealing with and how to release the jacks and also where to fill. Mel's write up is the best procedure on how to properly setup.

Surely the warning light and sound are OFF if you have your batteries OUT?
