Has anyone here had to manually actuated the hydraulic pump on a 1999 Safari? Jeff.

Why would/does the hydraulic pump on your '99 Safari have to be manually actuated?

The reason why is that there is not a manual overide on this coach and the hyd pump motor has a short to ground. Jeff

I have looked extensively and have found nothing that can be turned manually to lower the leveling jacks or extend the slide on this, Googling it the main thing I run across is there is a way to do it however even removing the back cover plate on the motor there is nothing to attach to. also no crank off of the rail guide that it rides on...nada. Jeff.

1.) The hydraulic pump, (for the power steering and power brakes), on my coach is belt driven.
2.) There is an electric motor which will assist braking if/when the engine is not running and/or there's a belt or pump failure.

I don't believe either can be "manually actuated".

This pump on mine is for the slide and jacks only its not attached to the engine. Jeff

Jeff, As far as I know there is only manual release to raise the jacks, you will need to have the electric motor, that runs the pump, either rebuilt or replaced. John

Now I realize you were asking about the hydraulic pump for the leveling jacks, (and perhaps a slide?).
The jack pump is the 3rd pump on my coach.
I don't have a slide so I can't comment on is operation, but the RVA jacks on my coach can not be "manually actuated" to extend, (although the jacks can be retracted manually).
Google "rva jack manual" and down load one of the RVA JII operating instruction manuals for further info.
