'We have a '94 Trek, but I think your configuration is similar. We ran
the wire from the panels down the refrigerator vent and through to the
furnace compartment, which is where we have the regulator. From there
the wire goes down under the floor and across to the batteries under the
steps. [We installed two Concorde-31 AGM batteries, and they fit.]
Don't let an 'installer' talk you into hooking into the back of the
refrigerator!
Good luck. We love the freedom of solar power.

'We purchased our last panel in Marathon, FL, and were sold 4 mounting
brackets. We were later told by WindSun in AZ to use a different style
bracket--ones that extend across the whole end of the panel. Their
argument (that sounded correct to us) was that their bracket's wider
footprint on the roof gave it more holding power. In either case, the
panel is held about an inch off the roof. Be sure to use the proper
wire. We found much good info at http://www.windsun.com/ and they now
have an internet store.
