Report from them is the Fuel Pump needs to be replaced. Quote for the part $5500.OUCH OUCH. Can they be rebuilt.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Maybe they are confused (or you?). The engine in your coach is a Cat, not a Cummins. What kind of shop do you have it in?

Price sounds very high for the pump, but assume that includes the labor plus some other stuff?

Found a site that sells rebuilt Bosch pumps for around $2000 ....plus labor, of course. Google your fuel injector pump part number and go from there. jon 1992 Serengeti 3450 with Cummins (no g!) 190 In a message dated 3/23/2016 6:52:19 P.M. They told me the same thing - I removed the primary fuel filter to find it plugged with algae. Fixed problem. I had to replace the lift pump on an 02' 8.3L - that was $400 The pumps are quite hardy. I would question the need to replace unless you had some serious issues

Who is the "them" you refer to?
Before you look for a lower priced fuel pump, (or a pump re-builder), I suggest you get a 2nd opinion, (and a price quote), from a diesel shop other than "them".
