'Attachments :Attached is a pic of mine. The black wire goes to the middle height fuse buss for the switches chassis power.  Most, but not all, of the white wires are return (negative).  Shame on them for violating what color coding is established. .
What concerns me is the white wire coming off the large left terminal of your solenoid. The limits of the picture do not allow me to trace it.  It should NOT be going to a return (ground) buss.

ok i have replace the starter solenoid and i still have nothing. the solenoid have 13.6 going to it. I have enclosed a pict of it. can some one tell me the wires to it. I know the wire that red comes from the batt. but there is a black one going down. to the back.

where does it go? the small wire on t he left which is yellow is the wire to the key(i think) where does the other wire that is what with blue connector go to. also on t h right the black goes t o the starter. the other white wire with yellow connector go

down to a resetable fuse. and then i do not know where it goes.

Any ideas on how to test this would be great.

Craig,

This is the third time you have posted this same email including the picture.

I answered you on 8/3 and on 8/4 I questioned the placement of the wire terminals on the solenoid.

You have never answered any of my concerns; have you addressed that issue?

Robert,
Nice presentation but I find you do not show the functions of the service bay controls. If you have the start/stop buttons in the service center, they and their engine stop relay are interlocked with the ECU relay.
Check my drawing "safari starter circuit" for details. I believe this is a major area misunderstood by mechanics unfamiliar with the Safari setup and often gets bypassed because of this.
Every owner should carry a copy of this drawing.

Thank you... I will download your document and do an addedum  to correct the oversight in the not too distant future. As well I include your document in the presentation if that is ok. If you could review it for errors then, it would be appreciated and I will revise as needed. I don't want misleading information as a reference.

Craig,

How can you claim you don't know what or where it is when you posted a picture of the solenoid?

It is that picture that I responded to that you have not answered.

'Craig,

The solenoid pictured and were it is placed looks like the ignition
solenoid/relay, not the starter relay. Your starter relay is likely
located in the engine compartment.
When you turn the ignition on, are you getting 12v at the black heavy
wires that are on both sides of the solenoid that is in the picture
you posted??? Also, are getting 12v at the small signal wire, at that
same solenoid, when your ignition is turned on.
If there is not, either your ignition switch is bad, or you have an
issue with that signal wire that goes from the ignition switch to the
pictured solenoid.
