1998 Beaver Marquis Diamante (Magnum Chassis)

I know I'm not a Safari owner ,but I've been following this group because it has good Magnum chassis info and I believe my 1998 Beaver may have possibly been produced by Safari. Would it be safe for me to ask a Magnum chassis question Here? I recently noticed that my front sway or drag link Bushings are coming apart , has anyone else had to change out theses bushings or the rear control arm bushings? Maybe who specializes in these repairs and costs associated with it?

Your coach was manufactured by Safari (SMC). SMC bought Beaver out in
'94, so all Beaver coaches made till around '01 or '02 were built by
SMC.
Does your coach have an air ride suspension?
If yes, how many air bags?
If it is an 8 air bag suspension, some of the Safari Panther owners
with the air ride suspension may have the information you need.

'George, I replaced my front sway bar bushings as well as new support arms Earlier this summer. I found an outfit out of WAshington state that still had OEM parts in OEM packaging. So they were new old parts. That being said I replaced both the support arms and the 4 bushings associated with each support arm.,The ‘new support arms’ were a bit beefer than the ones I pulled off. The bar diameter was thicker and I liked the idea they are a bit more HD. During my research for the parts I did find new bushings being sold as sets. You may want to measure an existing intact bushing and merely order them separately as such. Recommend getting under couple days ahead and use some descent penetrating oil on the bolts and threaded support arm bars to help in their removal.R/Willie, Connie is ‘95 Continental, 8.3L, Ally 6spd

George, I replaced my front sway bar bushings as well as new support arms Earlier this summer. I found an outfit out of WAshington state that still had OEM parts in OEM packaging. So they were new old parts.. That being said I replaced both the support arms and the 4 bushings associated with each support arm.,The ‘new support arms’ were a bit beefer than the ones I pulled off. The bar diameter was thicker and I liked the idea they are a bit more HD. During my research for the parts I did find new bushings being sold as sets. You may want to measure an existing intact bushing and merely order them separately as such. 'Hey fellas, yea, I should have posted the source yesterday, but honestly I was doing good to thumb type as well as I did. Think I sweated out the cold last night so not as lethargic as was yesterday. I’m getting better making notes in ph so believe this is the folks I used. If it wasn’t this outfit, then they are the ones that turned me on to who I did get the parts from. I’m going to ck my notes I write up and keep online. So I may add to this here in a bit.

'George! Found my Source! I bought my set in April 2019 from these folks. The fella was pretty knowledgeable. I purchased both front and rear sets. Thought I’d taken a pix of the parts when they arrived, but not finding it.

Will add to what I wrote earlier. Depending on how you have the coach situated you’ll be doing a lot of bending over, crawling, on your back, contortionist type moves at times. If you can pre-stage your tools and or have someone who can be a go getter (typically the goffer, go far this, or go far that) you’ll possibly save yourself some up and down exercising, as well help make the evolution a bit less aggravating. I’m going to try and attach a before pix and afterwards short video. Also, I tried to keep measurements the same, so I measured the distances from mounting frame to sway bar end, etc to hopefully prevent any issues once everything was reassembled. You’ll note their are inner and outer adjusting/tightening nuts at each end of the threaded rod. George, I replaced my front sway bar bushings as well as new support arms Earlier this summer. I found an outfit out of WAshington state that still had OEM parts in OEM packaging. So they were new old parts.. That being said I replaced both the support arms and the 4 bushings associated with each support arm.,The ‘new support arms’ were a bit beefer than the ones I pulled off. The bar diameter was thicker and I liked the idea they are a bit more HD. During my research for the parts I did find new bushings being sold as sets. You may want to measure an existing intact bushing and merely order them separately as such. Your coach was manufactured by Safari (SMC). SMC bought Beaver out in
'94, so all Beaver coaches made till around '01 or '02 were built by
SMC.
Does your coach have an air ride suspension?
If yes, how many air bags?
If it is an 8 air bag suspension, some of the Safari Panther owners
with the air ride suspension may have the information you need.
