'The spammer problem came to my attention this afternoon and the bogus accounts and any related posts from them have been pruned. Hopefully, no valid accounts were caught in the dragnet.
Effective immediately, the requirement to activate new accounts from notification emails is reinstated. The previous mail server problem was identified and fixed, so this should be working seamlessly now. If this fails to stem the spammer tide, then we'll turn on the requirement that moderators have to approve new accounts.
I see some folks would like to volunteer for moderator duties, thank you for that!. RG, please contact me via email or give mme a call, I'm not seeing a problem with your administrative access.
