Is an there an "archive" of the thousands of 2000-2019 messages posted to the now extinct Safarifriends Yahoo group. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Safarifriends/info?
Is it possible to search for information in, (or for authors of), those posts here on safarifriends.org?
(If so how does one do that)?

Mel,

In the upper right hand corner is the search bar with a star wheel to the right of that search bar. That star wheel is the advance search option, click on that, you will then see another search bar with all the forum and sub forum topics to search. Scroll down to the bottom on that search bar, where it says "Yahoo Groups Legacy Content". Click on that and all the other search options further down that page, and then hit search. Here is a link to an example of the search page: search.php

FYI, all of the archived content from the yahoo group you are asking about, is in the process of being transferred to the "yahoo groups legacy content" sub forum. Recently the admin announced that all conversations from the old group have been transferred, and that they are working on the files and photos, but it is more complex and involved, meaning, it will take more time. The admin asked that no one post or reply on this archived Legacy Content sub forum. If I'm not mistaking, the sub forum might have been locked, where one can't post or reply to the archived content, but anyone can search and read all the info on there.
