This is a post with the wiring diagrams and explanations used to replace the Dometic Thermostat in a Safari 2000 Continental motorhome. The technical information is not related specifically to a motorhome but should be applicable to any AC and Heater system used in the majority of RV's and trailers. The thermostats are low voltage, low current and therefore low power devices that are simple in their operation. Most digital thermostat controllers can be wired to provide the same functions as the older Dometic or other analog thermostats.
