Does anyone have a recommendation for a scan tool that does live data? I don't have any problems now but want if I do.

I have been using the Scanguage D (d is for diesel) for years. I have the exact same setup as you. It is produced by Liniar Logic. Their website has all the details. They are listed on eBay for $159. The settings for the initial setup is fairly simple. Additional setting are a little more complex. Your computer cable connection should be under the front dash.

Thanks I will check that out. I have looked under dash but couldn't find any port. Not saying it is not there but have not found it. There is a 6 pin in engine control area. Is the one under dash the 6 pin or ODBII

There may be both under your dash (I know on my 96 there's both), but the one that you want for the scangauge is the round one (it may be zip tied above the steering column brace). I had issues trying to plug my scangauge cord into the plug under the dash - it will go perfect into the one in the maintenance bay, but won't plug into the one under the dash. I ended up using some blank pins and making a spacer for mine - kind of looks strange, but it works perfectly and a zip tie holds it in place

what about a 95 Sahara? I tried the scanguage, I found the round port under the steering column, but didn't look like it would connect. How did you use extra pins to achieve that. Pics would be helpful

No, your coach has a mechanical Cummins engine, and thus there is no computer to plug into. Coaches with the electronic cat engine do have the ECM ports to plug into.
