Cummins Water Pump

I have a 95 Safari Serengeti with a C8.3 Cummins. The water pump started leaking and there are two different pumps listed for the Cummins...a short nose or a longe nose pump...how do you tell which is which?

Have you called Cummins with your engine serial number or looked on their website using your engine serial number?

I haven't been ableto locate the serial number supposedly on top of the engine on the accessory cover

The location of the engine serial numbers is usually on the timing gear cover, right by the injection pump.
