No ignition start

Post by bowhunter3125 »

Welp, i am perplexed. 99 Safar Continental with Cat C12, will not start with the key. Have to start with the button in the control center at rear of MH. I can shut it down with the Key, just not start. Replaced the ignition, no good, thought maybe the level controls in the drivers compartment, unplugged them, still not good. Any sugestions?

And on a side note, thanks to my son, anyone know where i can get the round key that opens the fuse door on the outside under the drivers seat?

I purchased mine on Amazon. Search for Southco e3-5-15. They work great.

Does your allison transmission shift pad light up when you turn the ignition on?
Do you dash guages come alive when you turn the ignition on, same for the heater blower motor, does it work with the ignition on?

Yes, everything acts normal. Some one suggested replacing the 3 way switch and the kill switch at the back in the control
center. gonna get new ones tomorrow from napa.
