That’s about what they were, John ($6-$7 with shipping). I have a habit of rounding up when I drop more than a few hundred. :)

I looked through this entire thread and didn't find my chassis.

Looking for the 'correct' shocks for my 2000 Harney motorcoach. Its a 38ft Magnum 4 bag suspension.

I replied to your PM with the info you need.

Your 4 air bag suspension coach takes the same shocks as the Safari coaches with the VelvetRide torsional suspensions and leaf spring suspensions.

Front: 88-1641SP3

Rear: 88-1458SP1

Be sure to order by the given part number, not by the model/year coach you have. Also, I highly recommend to set the Koni shocks at maximum dampening. They come from the factory set at least dampening. Brazels RV usually has the best prices on Koni shocks and have free shipping.

thanks, I saw that. Looking for a place that has both shocks in stock. Seems retailers either have one or the other.

Also strange that the rear shock listed is spec'ed out for a front shock.

I also see that shockwarehouse says that this part number has been superseded. Is it important to get the older part number?

Koni EVO 99B 3254 Country Coach = Old Part No: 8805 1012 and 88 1641sp3

Is your Harney built on a Safari Magnum chassis???

What brand is your front axle? (look on the axle and/or the build sheet) Let me know and we will go from there.

The EVO99 series shock (99B-3254) supersedes the Koni 88-1641SP3 and the 8805 series shocks. From the feedback I have received thus far is that the ride is a bit harsher but the sway control is about the same. I would presume that eventually Koni will phase out the 88-1641SP3 shock in favor of the (99B-3254), but considering the feedback, I would recommend to continue buying the Koni 88-1641SP3 for the front axle of Safari coaches that are built on the in house magnum chassis using the leaf spring, VelvetRide, or 4 airbag suspensions. For what it is worth, it is well known in Safari circles that this particular shock gives the best ride and sway control. This is thanks to the relentless research and hard work of the Late Ralph Andrews to improve ride quality of the great Safari brand coaches, so there is no need to reinvent the wheel, unless one feels compelled to.

Yes my harney renegade is built from a safari on a magnum chassis with a Westport solid ibeam front axle, 1 bag per wheel.
