Have you considered hvac ducting from home depot or Lowe's? HD has Everbilt 6 in. x 8 ft. Semi-Rigid Flexible Aluminum Duct for $13.92. Remember air flow is reduced by length, corrugations and elbows. Keep it as smooth as possible.
Or try one of the industrial supply houses: Fastenal, Granger, McMaster-Carr or Whistler come to mind.

Hi Bob
Another option is to call them, and ask if they'll cut-to-length. I ran into that with replacing the fuel filler hose. One vendor had a minimum length of 25', another sold it by the 3' stick(I needed 5')...I bought 2 sticks and a galvanized coupling.
Compartment temperatures(heat), road debris(tire flaps are not much of a deterent), friction loss(interior texture, fittings/couplings) are a consideration.
The wire reinforcing is key to maintaining a decent bend radius without the hose collapsing.
Maybe checking with Central States Hose, Denver, CO, they sell vacuum-truck hose. I was tinkering with a section of my dust collector hose(Powertec wire-reinforced PVC), but it didn't do well with a combination of 112F ambient and engine compartment heat.

I'm also looking for the document repository of Jim Exler. Many of his great posts seem to have unavailable links.
Stay safe
