ABS Sensor Install and Part Number needed

Post by Safaritoonces »

My drivers rear ABS sensor 2000 Safari Continental is damaged. Can anyone tell me how to change it and the part number please? I took the coach to have it inspected and the air bags were not operating correctly and the bouncing ripped the sensor out. I.will submit a project on the issues I found with the air suspension.

I did this on my 2000 Sahara. It’s a pretty simple procedure.
You can pull the old sensor out with a pair of pliers. A little WD40 may help. Just twist and pull. Follow the wire and you’ll find a plug you can disconnect.
The new sensor will just slide in. May need a little tap with a soft hammer. Then string the wire and reconnect.
I don’t have a part number but as I recall it had a number on the sensor. Went to a truck part place and they had a bunch in stock. It apparently is a common item

Good luck,

Thanks Mark... that's a big help. I need this fixed to pass the inspection inorder to register the coach.
