Lug nut covers

Post by oldcobia »

I don’t know exactly what they are called but need 2 of the nuts and covers that hold down the steel wheel covers and axle end covers. Right side. 1995 Safari. I’m sure the were used on other models also. Thanks

These are called wheel simulator jam nuts.

Here is a post by Mel Stuplich, from August of 2017, found on this forum.

Wheel cover "jam nuts" and "nut covers" are available from AWDirect:

Here links to the "jam nuts" (both front and rear), that fit my '96 Sahara:

Right-hand: http://www.awdirect.com/right-jam-nut-p ... nd-covers/

BTW 2 years ago I found a correct replacement "nut cover" at a Grainger Industrial Supply store in Wisconsin.
I believe this is the cover I found... (but I'm not "sure"): http://tinyurl.com/y932djrm

You may also be able to find them at a truck supply or service center. There was a truck service center not far from where we lived that had bins of various sizes and shapes in the accessory aisles. Thought about changing mine out to the spike type just for giggles, but that would have been kinda' pricey.
